• MFPP System Description

    Overview

The entire MFPP installation is built inside two 40ft. high cube containers:
    1. Production container
Thermal decomposition, solid gas separation and condensation
    2. Utility container
Gas conditioning, quality- and quantity control, Hydrocarbon Condensate and SynCoal handling

Safety is a key element in every single NRG installation. In this particular setup, safety considerations led to mounting O2 (to indicate possible N2), CH4 and CO detectors on the container wall inside both the production and utility containers, which can each trigger visual and acoustic alarms and/or automatically stop the process. Nitrogen (blanketing) is used as an integral part of the production procedure to create safe conditions at interface points between the reactor system and further solids handling. Nitrogen (purging) is used as an integral part of the emergency shutdown procedure.
