CLEAN, EFFICIENT AND VERSATILE – THREE PROVEN TECHNOLOGIES TO FIT YOUR NEEDS
The three processes integrated in the MFPP installation are Torrefaction, Pyrolysis and Gasification. The proprietary MFPP installation is set up to fit your desired combination of input options and output needs, which allows us to provide you with clean, cost-effective energy from secondary fuel streams. The clever combination of technologies allows us to tweak your desired combination of output products based on the available feedstock/fuel. Example output products are Torrefied Coal, BioChar, Hydrocarbon Condensate and MFPP Gas.

  • MFPP yields
  • 1. Torrefaction

    • Input: biomass
    • Processing temperature range: 300°C
    • Output: maximum Torrefied Coal production

Torrefaction is a thermal process which involves heating biomass to temperatures between 250 and 300°C under atmospheric pressure. When biomass is heated at such temperatures, the moisture evaporates and various low-calorific components contained in the biomass are driven out.

  • 2. Pyrolysis

    • Input: biomass and/or secondary fuels
    • Processing temperature range: 400°C - 600°C
    • Output: maximum Hydrocarbon Condensate production

Pyrolysis is a thermochemical decomposition of material at elevated temperatures. It involves the simultaneous change of chemical composition and physical phase.

  • 3. Gasification

    • Input: biomass and/or secondary fuels
    • Processing temperature range: 600°C and up
    • Output: maximum MFPP Gas production

Gasification is a process that converts all kinds of secondary fuel streams and biomass and/or secondary fuels into methane, carbon monoxide, hydrogen and carbon dioxide. This is achieved by reacting the material at high temperatures (+600°C), without combustion.
